A Bakersfield police officer accidentally discharged his gun during a call in central Bakersfield. It happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday in the 100 block of North Stine Road when police responded to a call about a trespasser. One round was fired as an officer was calling people out of the home for questioning. No one was struck. An investigation is underway.
